LINDA HARRIS, MSc. Reg MBACP

ICPN, associate director, Linda Harris currently works in a busy full-time private practice and can offer supervision to both student and qualified counsellors, and also health, social care and wellbeing professionals. Linda facilitates a collaborative and supportive approach and prides herself on being down to earth and approachable.

​TRAINING 

Linda has been working within the field of mental health for almost 30 years, predominantly within the NHS. Linda has a wealth and diversity of training and experience and her background is: 

​

  • Mental health in both crisis teams, community and inpatient settings

  • Current College Lecturer for CPCAB counselling courses

  • HMP's and immigration detention

  • Management of CQC registered community homes

  • Adult nursing

  • Kink and GSRD aware

  • Circles of Support and Accountability - http://www.circles-uk.org.uk

  • Supporting informal Carers and Carers Assessments

  • Appropriate Adult role within Criminal Justice Centres

  • Counselling within charitable organisations

  • Countywide GP and Primary Care engagement to promote Carer awareness and in line with the national strategy for Carers.​

QUALIFICATIONS

Linda’s counselling training consists of -

  • MSc. in Counselling (University of Northampton)

  • CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Supervision 

  • CPCAB Level 3  

  • CPCAB Level 2 

  • Transactional Analysis - The Berne Institute

  • Animal Assisted Therapy - HumAnima CIC

  • Couples Therapy – Human Givens
